The architectural firm Studio Southwest Architects (http://www.studioswarch.com) has teamed up with Web development firm, Data-Scribe®, to re-energize their Web presence with an implementation of a content management system (CMS) and a redesign. Studio Southwest Architects was founded in 1984 and is a regional award-winning firm, whose practice focuses on cost-effective, sustainable design.

SSWA had outgrown their static HTML site and it was difficult to maintain. They had a specific design in mind for their new site. Also, they wanted something that would showcase their projects and allow them to update their site regularly.

After working with a couple of developers over a year, they could not get the final result that they wanted. SSWA ran into challenges getting the design implemented. And they wanted to avoid a Flash-based site since they were concerned that they wouldn't be able to maintain the site easily.

Data-Scribe® setup a new site using the Drupal content management system. With this flexible CMS, Data-Scribe® could implement the desired design and functionality that SSWA wanted and needed. Now, SSWA can easily update their portfolio projects, upcoming projects, and new articles with both content and images.

Phase 1 of the site launched in June 2009. They have received positive feedback, as one of SSWA's project leads stated, "I think the website looks great... I'm very pleased with how easy it is to update and expand." Data-Scribe® will continue to work with them to enhance the site even further.
