Saint Cyprian Roman Catholic Church

The Situation: The St. Cyprian Catholic Church (SCCC) wanted to improve their Web presence. They had a Web site that was under-developed and did not allow for easy updating by the church staff. They realized that they needed to improve their Web presence to provide better resources to their current members and supporters and to reach out to new ones.

The Problem: SCCC's site was part of a proprietary system which hosted several church Web sites. The system didn't give them much flexibility in adding new content or features.

Our Solution: We installed and configured Joomla! on the development site. We selected a theme and customized it to fit the SCCC brand. We improved the information architecture of the site for maximum use by St. Cyprian Catholic Church members and supporters. The site now includes general parish information, bulletins, ministries, links, calendar of events, photo gallery, and a weekly message from pastor. In addition, we added some RSS feeds that automatically update with the Saint of the Day and Daily Readings. Lastly, we moved the site to our hosting service, Social Mission Web Host once SCCC was satisfied that everything was completed.

The Result: The SCCC staff continues to update the site with a weekly pastor's message and other key information relating to ministries and events. As a result, their search engine rankings have increased and traffic has gone up at least 100% since before the launch.
