We launched the WriterGal Network site last night at our October membership meeting and received a great response. It's always fun to have Web site launch parties. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to make this a reality!

The architectural firm Studio Southwest Architects (http://www.studioswarch.com) has teamed up with Web development firm, Data-Scribe®, to re-energize their Web presence with an implementation of a content management system (CMS) and a redesign. Studio Southwest Architects was founded in 1984 and is a regional award-winning firm, whose practice focuses on cost-effective, sustainable design.

We're starting a series of multi-day technology training sessions in Albuquerque. They are designed for nonprofit and small business staff who are or will be responsible for the organization's Web site.

Starting this year, we have made a change to our technology training offerings. Instead of setting up public classes, we are taking requests for one-on-one or group classes.

As you may know, Microsoft recently made Office 2007 available to the general public. Unlike other versions of Office, the layout and overall functionality is different. Specifically, you'll notice a change in the menu options and typical toolbar buttons. Some of our clients have made the switch. One of the reasons that others haven't is because of the difficulty in finding training and support. As a Registered Microsoft Partner, we were able to get our hands on advanced copies and have been tinkering with it for the past few months.
