You've probably noticed that our nonprofit service grant for Web development services has been on hiatus for the past few months. We're happy to announce that nonprofits across the US will be able to apply online for the September 15, 2008 deadline later this week.

We will be conducting some technology training classes through the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNPE) at the United Way of Central New Mexico.

• Excel Basics - May 14, 2008 from 8:30a to 4:30p
• Creating and Using Electronic Newsletters - June 17, 2008 from 8:30a to 4:30p

If you haven't already, you can still apply for our Web site development/improvement service grant through the end of the day on Monday, March 3rd. We'll even be nice and give you until midnight Mountain Standard Time. Click here to get started.

Here are some tips to help you with the grant application submission process:

The next deadline for our nonprofit service grant is December 3, 2007. Nonprofit organizations can apply to have us develop a new Web site or redesign their Web site for them.

The grant application is completely online. You can create a login, complete the form, and include supporting documents. Everything remains confidential within Data-Scribe™.

Don't worry if you can't make this deadline. The next one is March 3, 2008. You can apply at any time.

Service Grants for US-based Nonprofit Organizations

Rio Rancho, New Mexico (October 18, 2007) – Data-Scribe™ is seeking applications from US-based nonprofit organizations for their Nonprofit Technology and Communications Grant program. Applications for computer training, communications training, and Web site services will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Last night on our local news station, KRQE News 13, Jessica Garate gave a mini-tour of our client's Web site, the Bernalillo County Council of the PTA Clothing Bank. The BCCPTA was the recipient of our Spring 2007 Technology & Development Grant. We provided them with a new Web site.

Congratulations to BCCPTA on getting some great press!

This is getting closer to that time of the year when businesses and organizations recognize the need for computer software training. The reason for this can vary from upcoming year end reports, number crunching, proposals or grants that need to be created. So, what is an organization to do in this situation?

We've been working on launching three nonprofit Web sites over the past week (thus the hockey reference to a 'hat trick'). Please click on the links below to check them out. We hope that you'll support these organizations if it makes sense for you.

Bernalillo County Council of the PTA's Clothing Bank: BCCPTA was a recipient of our Spring 2007 New Mexico Technology & Development Grant. They received a new Web site to promote their 50+ years of providing clothing to Albuquerque Public School students in need.
