Data-Scribe Nonprofit Web Site Portfolio

  • The Situation: ArtStream wanted to convert their Web site into a content management system and wanted to streamline their data entry process.

The Problem: Our partner, VicoRock Media, planned to upgrade their site to Drupal. They needed to partner with a company to complete the CiviCRM implementation. ArtStream wanted a better way to manage their contacts effectively. They needed to provide a central database that eliminated confusing Excel files for its staff.

Our Solution: We installed and configured CiviCRM on a development server. VicoRock Media handled Drupal installation, configuration, and theming. We worked with VicoRock and ArtStream to migrate their data into CiviCRM in the most effective way.

The Result: The staff is using CiviCRM to manage their contacts internally and has plans to increase its use in the future.

  • The Situation: The Colby Foundation is a nonprofit organization with an existing installation of CiviCRM setup by a previous volunteer. The system was integrated with their existing Web site in Drupal. The CiviCRM system had been installed completely, however some additional configuration and training was needed to fully use its features.

  • The Situation: Halos of Hope was the recipient of our 2011 Nonprofit Organization Grant. They had used the Joomla! system for several years. The volunteers that setup the system did a great job of using their knowledge to create a visually pleasing and functional site. Halos of Hope uses social media extensively and wanted their Web site to complement their efforts.

The Problem: Halos of Hope felt that they had reached the limits of their capabilities with the system and wanted to expand the site's functionality. They had received feedback that important content was difficult to find on the site. Also, Halos of Hope used the site to reach out to volunteers who might be interested in making hats. They wanted to expand their reach to focus on people and corporations who might want to donate money and also helping centers (oncology offices and hospitals) that want to receive hats.

  • The Situation: Lamson Media wanted to provide their client, National Consumers League, with an easy-to-use, robust content management system (CMS) that would provide better organization of their Web site content. They had created the design and information architecture, but needed to partner with a company to implement the design and install and configure the CMS

  • The Situation: New Mexico Business Leadership Network (NMBLN) wanted to provide an accessible, upgraded platform for emerging and prospective projects like theirs, including those that support entrepreneurs with disabilities, and therefore possibly their technology needs as well. NMBLN partners with organizations that share a similar mission and wanted to develop a site that could act as a model for others. Lastly, NMBLN wanted to create a new logo to better reflect their organization.
