Data-Scribe Small Business Web Site Portfolio

  • The Situation
GrassrootsLab managed two news sites focused on issues in California communities: CaliforniaCityNews.org and CaliforniaCountyNews.org. They wanted to freshen their design, automate some of their administrative tasks, and take advantage of additional social media connections.

    The Problem
The sites were hosted on a system that did not provide enough flexibility for administrators. They wanted to be able to easily search for content in the backend of the sites. And they wanted to be able to feature content in different ways on the public side of the sites. In addition, the previous platform did not offer enough interactivity between the site content and their visitors.

    Our Solution
We used Drupal and migrated the 6000+ blog posts from the previous platform. The sites include a variety of new design and functionality options.

  • The Situation: Joseph Tucker, D.D.S. had created a home-grown brochure site to connect to their online advertising. The dental office had a new logo and color scheme that they were using on their marketing materials and wanted to use them on their new site.

  • The Situation: Northern Virginia Pelvic Continence Care Center (The Urology Group) hired us to complete Internet marketing services for their site. While generating our initial report, we identified some key areas of their site that needed to be improved in order to have the most effective Internet marketing campaign.

  • The Situation: Research Design Connections wanted to replace their iProduction site with one that offered them more control over their newsletter service and related e-mail messages. They also wanted to eliminate the need to use HTML and greatly decrease the need to rely on a Web developer to make changes to their site.

The Problem: Research Design Connections (RDC) was under a tight deadline. They needed to replace their current site and move all content to a new system before the end of 2009. Since they sent newsletters on a quarterly basis, they needed to make sure that their subscribers received uninterrupted service.

  • The Situation: VaNovo was a new company developed by a seasoned medical professional to promote her new product, Valera. They had a Web site for their practice, but wanted a separate one for this product.

The Problem: Since the doctor had limited time to maintain and promote the site, it was important that she had a straight-forward Web presence that could help her get national exposure.
